Deni Bikes: Meet’s Made-in-India Electric Motorcycle
Meet launched his own electric bike brand, Deni Bikes, which is completely Made in India. He revealed that the manufacturing cost of one bike is approximately ₹40,000. To scale his project, Meet sought ₹30 lakh in investment, offering 10% equity in return. This valuation pegged his company at ₹3 crore. Interestingly, the name “Deni” comes from his parents’ surnames, Deore and Nikam.
A Childhood Passion for Motors
Meet’s love for motors began early, starting in the 2nd grade. At the age of 10, he even built an electric go-kart. The Sharks were amazed by his story. Aman Gupta humorously commented, “At 16, I didn’t even know if I wanted to take commerce or science!”
Test Ride and Fun Moments
On the show, Meet demonstrated his bike. While Aman Gupta pointed out minor performance issues during a test ride, the Sharks appreciated Meet’s dedication and creativity. Anupam Mittal jokingly remarked, “You’ve even roped in your family for work!”
